MegaFest 2017 Drew to a Close with an Overwhelming Turnout at the Screening Event for Silver Lining Entertainment's Film
'A QUESTION OF FAITH'
The highly anticipated faith-based film releases in theaters on September 29, 2017

LOS ANGELES – July 10, 2017 – On Saturday, July 1st, 2017, Silver Lining Entertainment presented their faith-based film, A Question of Faith, as the closing film at MegaFest 2017, the internationally acclaimed four-day faith, film and family festival. With more than 1000 MegaFest attendees coming out to see the film, the turnout far exceeded expectations.  Although they were able to accommodate 690 people, organizers had to close the A Question of Faith screening doors and regretfully turn away hundreds.  Cast members Richard T. Jones, Kim Fields, T. C. Stallings, Donna Biscoe, Amber Nelon Thompson and Marliss Amiea were all in attendance for the red carpet screening and Q & A.  Actor Blair Underwood and music artists Fred Hammond and Erykah Badu were also in attendance.

When the film ended, the audience erupted with an exuberant applause and standing ovation as an expression of how much they enjoyed the performances and the inspiring message of the film.  Immediately after, producers and cast members took to the stage for a discussion and to answer questions from the attendees.  Grateful to all who came out, the film’s producer Angela White states, "Attending MegaFest with 'A Question of Faith' was a life changing experience for me.  To witness the vision that I conceived grow into something that I can now introduce to the world, and be warmly received by hundreds of people, is nothing short of inspiring."  She adds, "From the attendees who cried, laughed and rejoiced, it exceeded my expectations and galvanized the entire team to continue pushing Christian films further into the marketplace."

One of the biggest moments of the evening was when guests were treated to a brief impromptu moving vocal performance by the talented Christian music artist Amber Nelon Thompson.  "This was my first time attending MegaFest and I was overwhelmed at the magnitude of the event," shares the Daywind Records Recording Artist.  "I was honored to be representing the film A Question of Faith, and I’m thankful to Bishop T.D. Jakes for allowing faith-based films to be screened at the event.  It was truly amazing to see the excitement of the attendees and we hope that they'll spread the word so others can join in that excitement!"

A Question of Faith tells a moving story of three families from different cultures, who live in the same community; they are complete strangers living vastly separate lives until a texting and driving accident thrusts them onto converging paths where they discover God's love, forgiveness, grace and mercy.

Wilmington Celebration Choir Presents World-Premiere of Tim Lovelace's Christmas Musical Miracle In A Manger at LifeWay's Worship Life 2017

GATLINBURG, TN - The World-Premiere of Tim Lovelace’s Christmas musical Miracle in a Manger was presented by the Wilmington Celebration Choir at LifeWay's WorshipLife 2017 Conference.  The premiere, hosted by Rick Shelton of Daywind Publishing, was performed on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 to an audience of worship leaders and music ministers who had gathered for the presentation at the Gatlinburg Convention Center in Gatlinburg, TN.  The new five-song Christmas musical was narrated by creator Tim Lovelace.

Daywind recording artist, Amber Nelon Thompson of The Nelons made a special guest appearance with the Wilmington Celebration Choir on the song entitled, "Holding Her Baby Boy."  Thompson noted, "We had a wonderful night premiering Miracle in a Manger.  I was so honored to be a part of it and to be able to sing with the Wilmington Celebration Choir."

Miracle in a Manger was created by Christian comedian and songwriter, Tim Lovelace, and arranged and orchestrated by Camp Kirkland, Cliff Duren, and Phil Nitz.  The songs, "Hallelujah, He Is Born," "Miracle in a Manger," "Holding Her Baby Boy," "Christ in Us" and "The Greatest Gift" were written by some of Gospel music’s finest writers, including Lee Black, Tim Lovelace, Tony Wood, Jason Cox, Joel Lindsey, Sue C. Smith, Marty Funderburk, and Dave Clark.

Lovelace stated, "When we rehearsed the musical for the first time with the choir, I was blown away!  Their hearts, voices and blend were impeccable!  Their worship and enthusiasm were more than infectious.  It was obvious that Joey had worked diligently with his choir.  When they presented the musical to choir and worship leaders that evening, God was glorified."

Lovelace continued, "I want to thank Mike Harlan of LifeWay Worship for this great opportunity to present, Miracle in a Manger, in this way.  Our desire is for churches of all sizes to consider this musical as a means to present the Christmas story of our Savior’s incredible journey from the manger to our hearts."

GADSDEN, Alab. - (June 5, 2017) - Multi-award winning Southern Gospel duo Wilburn & Wilburn were honored with a 2017 Telly Award.  As a part of the Jacksonville State University Television services, the father/son Gospel group were awarded for the "Gospel Music Southern Style" 2016 Christmas show.  The duo was the featured artist on the programming which was recorded at the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Alabama last year.

New Music Video From Award Winning Family Group, The Nelons

Michael Combs Receives Special Commendation For Ministry Work

DEEP GAP, N.C. - (March 3, 2017) – Renowned Gospel singer Michael Combs recently celebrated 25 years as part of the ministry team for the annual revival at Blackrock Baptist Church in Yulee, Florida.  In thanks for his time in ministry with the revival, the church presented Michael with a brand new Gibson Hummingbird Guitar on Sunday, January 22, 2017.

Blackrock Baptist Church reached out to Michael’s wife Denise, about how to honor Michael for his dedication to the annual revival.

After squandering many years living in the World and nearly destroying my life with drugs and alcohol, something wonderful happened in my life....or better yet SOMEONE wonderful happened to GIVE me life...His name is Jesus!

I gave my life to Christ on a Monday night during a revival meeting in Jacksonville, Florida. That night was February 6th, 1989.

Since that night many things have happened!  Almost immediately God put me into a Ministry of Music!  Never thought I would be doing what I've been doing for the last 25 years but now I can't imagine myself doing anything else!

There have been some valleys.  I was dying of Liver Disease when The Lord rescued me.  However, God not only saved my soul and placed within me a new heart....he gave me a new Liver too!  I had a Liver Transplant on September 9th, 1991 at The University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Lord has allowed me to write and record songs that some call "classics" today.  Many are sung in local Churches on any given Sunday.  Lots of folks tell me they hear my songs sung at numerous Gospel Music Talent Contests.  (What an honor!)

I've been blessed to have traveled this country with my beautiful wife, Denise, for 25 years (and counting!).  I not only get to share the songs....but my testimony as well!  We have been blessed to see hundreds give their hearts to Jesus in our Services!

Maybe one day we will get the opportunity to share this Ministry of Song and Testimony with you and your people...with your Community........with the Whole World!

Nelons To Perform During Presidential Inauguration Week

Hendersonville, TN (January 16th, 2017) – GMA Hall of Fame members, The Nelons, have been honored with the opportunity to sing the patriotic classic, 'God Bless America' during the Laying of the Wreath Ceremony, to kick off this week’s Presidential Inaugural events.  The ceremony will take place on Thursday, January 19th at Arlington National Cemetery, where President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence will pay homage to American troops.  The event is scheduled to be televised as part of the Inauguration coverage on CSPAN at 3:30 pm EST.

While in the nation's capital, The Nelons plan to participate in a variety of the festivities planned for the historic week, including the Kentucky Ball and New York Gala.
